Fluency Letter

This is a letter that informs parents about reading fluency. It defines reading fluency and explains what we will be looking for when the students take the DIBELS assessment.

DIBELS Information

As an educator, I find myself wanting to educate my parents as well as my students. This is an example of a letter that I send home for my parents. It lets them know exactly how well their child is doing. It also shows what they need to work on to improve.

Goals

At the beginning of the year I define the term goal and explain that I have goals and expectations for my classroom. Here is an example of a goal chart that I use in the classroom. We brainstorm ideas and set goals. At the end of each nine weeks we check on our progress.

Purpose of Blog

The purpose of this blog is to provide information to my parents and students. I plan to provide additional assistance for reading and math. I will post homework assignments and links to website to enhance student learning.
